COPA Study Tour on Lifecycle Refrigerant Management in Chile

The Ozone Unit of Chile shared the national progress regarding the reclamation of refrigerants and the preparation of greenhouse gas inventories. To add to that, the Chilean Legal Division and Circular Economy Office of the MMA, explained the Chilean regulatory framework for effective refrigerant management and there was a fruitful exchange of experiences with Chilean institutions as the Chilean Chamber of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.

The Study Tour included a visit to the professional training institute INACAP and a tour of Regener Chile's facilities, a plant dedicated to the reclamation of refrigerants that has been an example in the region for its economic and operational sustainability.
